Your organization's Vision/Destination Statement should set the stage for what is yet to come. It usually is a present tense statement that suggests a future state. Simply stated, the Vision/Destination Statement represents what everyone in the company is working toward.
An example of a great vision statement comes from our government. In May of 1961, President John F. Kennedy laid out a vision that mobilized an entire country, indeed, the entire world.
His words:
"...I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth."
These 31 words clearly communicated exactly what was to be accomplished and by when. The team that worked tirelessly to make this vision a reality knew their intrinsic value to the success of the overall goal, and at the close of each day, left satisfied that they were one step closer to reaching it.
CultureMD will assist you in creating a Vision/Destination statement that will foster a similar environment in your organization, motivating your team on a daily basis to operate at their highest potential toward a common objective.
